The show was a lot of fun to make and we hear it’s one of the best in the series, thanks to our brand ambassador Jake Goldstein who gives the boys a masterclass in cocktail making and special guest, Claudia Winkleman.
For the show, Jake prepared a host of delicious infusions and flavoured gins. But you don’t have to be an expert bartender to create basic or even some more complex flavours to mix with at home, it couldn’t be simpler. Here’s one for you to try this weekend:
Rhubarb and pear is easy, fruity yet wintery and absolutely delicious. Just chop some pear and rhubarb into small chunks and submerge in a jar with the gin. Taste it regularly then strain and use it when it’s at your desired ‘fruitiness’ level.
We recommend steeping ingredients for a week, minimum, but you can leave them for longer to get a more intense flavour. Once your gin is is infused, use it in cocktails using a 2:1:1 ratio or a simple G&T with a twist.
