It took months to get it absolutely spot on. Now just imagine how much time, care and attention to detail goes into the gin itself.
HYKE Gin Very Special owes its luxurious texture and rich complexity to our English grape spirit. What brings the flavour to life is our blend of 19 botanicals. There are the usual suspects: juniper, orris root, liquorice. And then there are the citruses, the spices, the herbs. Every one of them is here because it brings something unique and vital.
You can mix HYKE Gin Very Special with almost anything and it’ll taste amazing; and by playing with different serves, you can discover its full range of incredible flavours. Sometimes, more is more.
HYKE Gin Very Special is made using English-grown wine grapes that are usually just discarded after pressing. More than just repurposing this wonderful natural resource, we’re completely reimagining it using our innovative three-stage process, which we pioneered back in 2016.
It begins by reclaiming this natural by-product and using it to make an English grape spirit. We blend this with neutral grain spirit, add our unique mix of 19 botanicals and distil it for a second time, before it’s diluted with natural spring water and bottled. Not the fastest or easiest way to make gin, but for us, the best and only way.
