July 2020 saw the announcement of Mad City Botanical Rum, a product we had been working on since the launch of Foxhole Gin in 2016.
Mad City Botanical Rum is a category defying spirit, taking white rum to new and extraordinary heights. Using a base of sugar cane molasses, we’ve added more depth, more flavour and more complexity – everything’s amped up and elevated by our unique botanical blend.
In March 2019, we launched HYKE Gin; created using grape spirit produced from internationally sourced, fresh table grapes that are surplus to the requirements of the supply chain. Made in England, HYKE is flavoured with a blend of botanicals inspired by the grapes’ African and South American origins, including coriander, myrrh and rooibos.
HYKE Gin won Gold at IWSC 2019, scoring 95 points. Enough HYKE Gin was produced in 2019 to serve over 1 million Gin & Tonics.
In 2018 Foxhole Gin become an award-winner again, scooping Silver Outstanding (London Dry Gin) and Silver (Gin & Tonic) at the International Wine & Spirit Competition, Silver in the Spirits Business Distillery Masters and ‘Outstanding’ in the Difford’s Guide Quality Certification. The Guardian named Foxhole Gin “the ultimate dry martini gin”.
2018 saw us grow our business by 250%, whilst we moved into the final stages of development for our new launch in early 2019.
In July 2017 we launched an all-new, hand-screen printed bottle for Foxhole Gin, with a focus on improving recyclability. Each bottle is screen printed by hand with a precious metal ink, which is fired at a precise high temperature to turn the ink copper, along with a white ceramic ink to emphasise the detail in the design.
Foxhole Gin won three Silver medals at IWSC 2017, in the categories London Dry Gin, Contemporary Gin and Gin & Tonic.
We launched our first batch of Foxhole Gin in September 2016; created using our innovative three stage process developed in 2014 and crafted using the rare and valuable by-products from the English grape harvest; English wine grapes.
Each new batch is beautifully balanced, smooth and aromatic, with its own subtly distinctive character bestowed by that year’s grape harvest.
