A take on the classic Old Fashioned using gin instead of whisky. HYKE Gin Very Special lends itself perfectly to this cocktail with its savoury, earth notes and sweet citrus botanicals balancing with the bitters.
Ingredients
10ml 1:1 sugar syrup
2 dashes bitters
Sage leaf
Lemon zest
Method
Pour HYKE Gin Very Special, sugar syrup and bitters into a mixing glass
Stir until ice cold (30-45 seconds)
Strain into a chilled coupette or martini glass
Garnish with a single sage leaf rubbed around the rim of the glass and the oils of a lemon zest expressed over the drink.
